Below are some questions we are often asked. If you do not find the answer to your question here, do

or

with your questions.
How flexible are the itineraries?
Once your chosen itinerary is set and you are on the road. Itineraries will only change if it is due to an unforeseen logistical issue.
Is there cell service, electricity and Wi-Fi during the trip?
Most of the sites that we stay at offer Wi-Fi, but it is not guaranteed and you might have to be off the grid for some time during the trip. Electricity for charging, will also be available at most overnight stays.
How safe are the trips?
Safety is our top priority. Our overland trucks are regularly maintained, and our guides are trained in first aid and emergency response. We also follow strict safety protocols for wildlife encounters and remote travel. Every trip is planned with risk management in mind, and we have emergency contacts in all areas that we travel through. We are the only overlanding company to have their own offices in East and Southern Africa, which allows us an ‘’on the ground’’ perspective of the situation and, if required, unparalleled support to our passengers and crew.
What kind of food is provided?
If you have chosen to include a safari cook for your tour, they will do the cooking on the trip. We do ask that you participate in the preparation of the meals. Meals and menus vary depending on what produce is available locally. You can be assured of three healthy meals a day, when on the road. We purchase fresh ingredients from markets and roadside stalls along the way. In towns and cities there is the option of sampling the local cuisine.
What are the bathroom and shower facilities like?
Most of the campsites that we use do have ablution blocks that include hot water showers and running water with toilets. If you choose to stay in a lodge, you will have access to an en suite bathroom or a similar private facility. When bush camping there is no running water so we use an eco-friendly toilet.
What are our optional excursions?
These are activities that you can purchase and enjoy on-site, these are not included as part of your tour package. Your crew will explain all there is to know on what is available in each area, as well as the cost of each activity. Your crew will assist with the booking.
How do we do our laundry on the trip?
Most of our trips have stops at campsites or lodges with laundry facilities, usually available for a small fee. On longer trips, you can also do basic handwashing at campsites with provided basins. We recommend bringing quick-dry clothing for convenience.
What should I bring on my trip?
We recommend packing light, comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, a camera, sunscreen, and any personal items you may need. For specific trips, we'll provide a detailed packing list closer to your departure date.
Are there ATMs available during the trip?
While ATMs are available in some areas, they can be unreliable, especially in remote regions. We recommend bringing cash in USD to cover some expenses. Your crew will inform you when ATM’s are or are not available as you travel.
Can I modify or cancel my booking?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to modify or cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation policies and fees may apply, depending on the time of your cancellation. You can review our

While we don’t provide travel insurance directly, we strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance before their trip. This can cover unexpected events like cancellations, medical emergencies, and lost luggage.
